DFT14 - Day 3 - YANKEES WIN!
Yesterday we spent most of the day in the Central Park area. We we walked to the lake and watched the boats paddle around. We saw a photo shoot, that was taking place. We spent most of the morning in the Museum of Natural History. It was really neat, but def one of those places you need a whole day in order to see everything. We basically just hit the highlights. After leaving the AMNH, we tried to see the front of The Met. We did not have time to go in it, but I wanted to take a picture on the stairs (for all you gossip girl fans). However, there was a lot on construction on the front and it was going to be crazy trying to get to the stairs, so I just settled for a picture of the front of it.
We finally were able to eat at SHAKE SHACK. I've heard so much about it, and wanted to make sure to eat at one before leaving. It was good, reminds me a lot of Pal's. But the Fair Shake, which is a coffee shake is AMAING!
Yesterday we had tickets to the Yankees Game and tickets to get the Behind the Scenes Tour before the game. I was pretty disappointed in our tour. It was scheduled to start at 4:20, they didn't let us in until after 4:30. I'm pretty sure our tour guide was 12. And they rushed us through the whole thing. I didn't really get to see what I wanted to see because they were always rushing us. At the end of the tour they did take us to section 105 to watch batting practice.
Yankees scored 1 run early in the game and it was 1-0 for the longest time. Somewhere along the way Baltimore scored 3 runs, and going into the bottom of the 9th it was 3-1. And the Yankees were at the top of their line up. I don't remember all the details because it got crazy. But Beltron hit a Walk-Off Homerun....making the Yankees win 5-3!! It was wild and people went nuts! And the hilarious part was while he was being interviewed after the game, they poured gatorade on him, and absolutely soaked the reporter....she was MAD.
So far of the three stadium we have been to over the course of the last three years...Yankees def. have the best. The atmosphere is great and the fans really get into the game. Even though I was disappointed in my tour, I ate the worst pretzel of my life, and the served pepsi instead of coke. Overall it was amazing and I would go back again!
P.S. we had to walk back to the hotel last night with some Baltimore fans, and they wouldn't talk to use. Who knows why.
And lastly, I pretty sure I deserved that Fair Shake I had yesterday, and maybe even another today.
