DFT14 - Day 2 - NYC

Since we had randomly ended up in Delaware, we decided to visit the only historical monument in Delaware...The First State Building.  It was pretty neat and it was in a really awesome small town, but you could tell that they did not get many visitors.  The lady who greeted us, ended up giving us the WHOLE tour.  Because we had been there longer than expected we decided to get lunch at a place called Jessop's Tavern.  It might possibly be the best sandwich I have ever had.  It was called Bunker Hill Beef.  It was slow cooked roast beef, provolone cheese, caramelized onions, and horseradish..all served on a pretzel bun.  DELICIOUS!

So we finally started out of Delaware around 2pm.  According to the map it should take us a little over 2 hours to get to NYC.  Well it did take us 2 hours to get here, but it took us 2 hours to get through traffic once we got here.  Plus we ended up in driving through the city right at 5pm, when everyone was getting off work.  We have wonderful timing!  I drove through the city since Daniel doesn't like driving in big cities...I think I did a pretty decent job, if I do say so myself.  I mean we are still alive! But it is def. hard.  I don't recommended it.

Once we could checked in when found the subway and went off to explore.  Our first stop was Bryant Park and the Public Library.  We also went by Grand Central Station.  Lastly, we went to Times Square before heading back to the hotel.  There were WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE in Times Square! I was able to find the Junior's that we ate at when I was here in college, so Daniel got a piece of cheesecake and I got a black and white cookie.

Lastly....here is a screenshot of my fitbit from yesterday.
