No Big Adventure for 2015

For my loyal readers...I think that might be about 5 people (especially you Coach Kerley), we did not partake in a big adventure this year because our Big Adventure was BUYING A HOUSE! We sold our house in May of last year.  When we put it on the market the realtor asked if we would have somewhere to live if our house sold and we hadn't found one yet.  So we said sure we can move into Mom's house, thinking we would only be there for a month or two.  Eight months later we finally moved into our new house.  We tried to buy about five different houses before we finally were able to buy one.  We went through inspections on four total house, this one included.  The inspector loves us!  We closed on our house at the end of January, but we chose have some work done before moving in.  We finally moved in on March 7th!  I am going to post some picture of the house before we bought it and some pictures of use working on it.  I'll create another whole post in the near future for after pictures (even though it is a work in progress).

This is the outside of our house.....We told ourselves that we wanted an older home, but we ended up with this.  Most older home we looked at needed more work than we could afford.  Even though this house is not the style we were looking for it had every feature we wanted plus a few more: 3 bedrooms, with a bonus room downstairs for Daniel's office, fenced in area for Bear, and more...

Kitchen and Dining Room painted three different colors

Master Bedroom with some lovely floral wallpaper border

And the PINK ROOM..it is hard to tell from the pic but this room was painted a Dusty Rose color

The previous three photos are of the living room once everything was removed.  The floors in the living room and hallway had a light veneer and the bedrooms all had disgusting carpet.  So we ripped the floors out of every room to redo.

This picture is from the main bathroom in the house.  Only one wall was painted blue and looked like it had glittered painted smeared over the top of it.

One last picture of the pink room because it was Daniel's favorite.

And the small jack and jill bath between the two spare rooms.  I honestly didn't hate the green strip but it hadn't been painted straight so it had to be fixed.

We painted every room in the house, laundry room included.  The only major thing that we did not do before moving in was renovating the kitchen.  That will be a major undertaking for the future.

We did manage to take a few fun smaller adventures this summer...posts to come soon!
