DFT 14 - Day 14 & 15 - Philly

On Tuesday we spent most of the day driving from Boston to Philly.  It was about a five hour drive to get there.  Oh and I have yet to mention on this trip how much I LOVE TOLL ROADS!  They are my fav...not! Once we got there we walked up to Independence Mall.  For dinner we had an authentic Philly Cheese-stake....It was AMAZING! And we checked out the Wanamaker Organ inside Macy's before heading back to the hotel. Wednesday we found this bus called "Phlash".  You could buy a pass for $5 and ride all day, and it just made a giant loop around Philly all day long.  We started the morning at Independence Mall, and we were able to tour Independence Hall and see the Liberty Bell.  We walked to the Old Post Office and watched the Park Rangers use the printing press like Benjamin Franklin used when he lived in Philly.  We also sent post cards from the Old Post Office, because the stamp has Benjamin Franklin's signature on it.  Plus its the old...

Day 13 - Sam Adams and Fenway

Yesterday we were super lazy....we didn't leave the hotel until about lunchtime.  We didn't have huge plans for day, so we just decided to take our time.  We ended up going over to take tour of the Sam Adams brewery.  It was pretty neat.   They let you taste barley and actually examine hops.  After the tour we headed toward Fenway Park.  The plan was to have a big lunch, that way we wouldn't have to eat a lot at the game.  I had read really good things about Boston Beerworks.  And I was pretty disappointed.  I knew it was going to be bar food, but it was very mediocre bar food.  I wouldn't recommend it and I def. wouldn't go back.  The gates opened to the game at 5:40, so we went in as soon as the gates opened.  Since we got in early we were able to watch the Cubs take batting practice.  We had a hard time finding tickets and just bought the cheapest and basically only thing we could find, which were in the bleac...
